The Gowell family name has long been synonymous with the Litchfield, Tacoma Lakes, region. Hebert was glad to help Rick Gowell not only grow and expand his company, but also his commitment to his community. The newly completed Gowell’s Market is a 15,000 SF, single level grocery store that is equipped with an extensive heating and cooling system offering fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, and all other dry goods to the adjacent lakeside communities.

Extensive site work and groundwater control were required to account for the high water table and heavily saturated soils. To expedite construction the building envelope was constructed using a single span steel structure and insulated metal siding; the interior is an open concept with all mechanical and electrical wiring running under slab.

The project was completed ahead of schedule, allowing the store to be operational prior to summer holidays.
