Challenge: Bringing an old warehouse back to life and transforming the empty rundown building into a state-of-the-art athletic training and orthopaedic facility. The building had been neglected for years. In order to transform the empty 37,000 sf of space into a unique working facility the building required; structural remediation, roofing and siding, thermal envelope and power upgrades throughout. Not to mention, miles of concrete cutting, masonry restoration, shot blasting and all new high efficiency HVAC equipment and distribution.
Solution: Hebert Construction worked closely from the first day with the owner and architect performing constructability studies every step of the way. Paying close attention to every detail and providing insight on design elements and their effect on the budget, Hebert and PDT were able to bring this project in on budget and complete the tricky renovation ahead of schedule, providing true value for Maine Sports Realty.
